About
You’re Here. Let’s Eat.
Every great restaurant has a story, and Fired Up's begins not in a kitchen, but in a corporate office. When faced with workplace challenges and standing up for what’s right, our founder Zach found himself at a crossroads. What seemed like a setback became the spark that would ignite something special. Encouraged by a former boss who recognized his potential, Zach decided to follow a long-held passion: bringing authentic Cajun and Creole cuisine to Nashville.
Today, Fired Up is a celebration of resilience, flavor, and tradition. Located in the vibrant Nashville Farmers Market, we serve soul-warming gumbo, jambalaya, red beans and rice, Dirty Rice, Muffulettas, and indulgent desserts. Each dish is crafted with care, using fresh ingredients and bold flavors that reflect the spirit of Louisiana.

“New favorite place to get red beans and rice! Zach, the owner, is very present and personable, and the food is delicious. The menu is small, so every item is perfected. From the boudin sausage to the bread ordered from New Orleans, every bite is flavorful and complements the others. Highly recommend the dirty rice and red beans.”

"I was born and raised in New Orleans. This is the real deal, delicious New Orleans comfort food, real home-style, not the tourist stuff. The Brisket Gumbo was spot on, dark and flavorful. The Dirty Rice had a nice heat, hearty and delicious. Plus, they have generous free samples, not just a little plastic spoon, enough to get a good taste. Zack, you hit the spot!"
